AI girlfriend apps with voice, photos and video: what you actually get
AI girlfriend apps with voice, photos and video: what each feature really means, generation times, tokens, what to expect, and how Bunny Tease delivers it
· 8 min read
AI girlfriend apps with voice, photos and video all promise the same three words on their pricing pages, and they mean very different things by them. "Voice" can be a pre-recorded clip or a live call. "Photos" can be a gallery of stock images or a picture generated for you in twenty seconds. "Video" can be a five-second loop or a proper clip that takes a minute to render. This guide explains what each feature really is, how long it takes, how it's paid for, and what to expect, then describes exactly how Bunny Tease does it.
Voice: messages versus calls
There are two distinct things sold as "voice".
Voice messages are text-to-speech renderings of a written reply. The companion types her message, and a synthesised voice reads it to you as an audio clip. This is the common form: Candy AI, DreamGF and Kupid all offer voice messages, and every Bunny Tease model offers voice (the help center lists the current formats). Quality depends on the voice model; the better ones carry tone and pauses, the weaker ones sound like a navigation app.
Voice calls are real-time conversations where you speak and she replies aloud, with latency that ranges from a beat to several seconds. Nomi ("emotive voice chats", hands-free calls), Replika, OurDream, Kindroid and DreamGF offer calls. Character AI includes unlimited calls on c.ai+ according to eesel (June 2026).
How it's paid for varies. Kupid is reported at 8 minutes a month on Premium and 45 on Ultimate (makeaigf, 2026). DreamGF charges 3 tokens per voice message and 7 tokens per minute of call. Candy is reported at 3 tokens per minute of call (findaiboyfriend, June 2026). Kindroid is reported to include about a million audio credits a month on Standard (pocketanimus, July 2026). Ask two questions: is it messages or calls, and is it minutes, tokens or unlimited?
Photos: what "she sends you a picture" means
Photo generation is where the technical gap between apps is widest.
A generated photo is produced by a diffusion model from a description: the character's fixed appearance plus whatever the scene calls for. Consistency is the hard part. The character has to look like herself in every image, which is why the better platforms build each model around a fixed visual identity rather than regenerating a face each time. On Bunny Tease, each of the twenty models has a public book of photos, so you can see her look before you ever ask for a picture.
What to expect:
- Generation time. Somewhere between ten seconds and a minute is normal. On Bunny Tease a photo takes about 20 seconds.
- Cost. Metered almost everywhere. DreamGF publishes 10 tokens per image; Candy is reported at 2 to 4 tokens. Kindroid's Standard tier is reported to include a selfie allowance rather than per-image tokens. OurDream includes image generation within its monthly dreamcoins.
- Free tiers. Usually blurred or excluded. Candy's free trial is reported to blur images; Kupid's free tier excludes them.
- Failed generations. Sometimes the model produces nothing usable, or the request times out. Whether you're charged for that is the real test of a platform. On Bunny Tease, a photo that is billed but not delivered returns its tokens.
- Content. On a verified-adult platform, the register can be adult. On Bunny Tease that requires an independent age verification; the guest trial stays non-explicit.
- AI marking. Photos you download from Bunny Tease keep their AI marking. That protects you if a file ever leaves your device and protects the models from being mistaken for real people; every one of them is fictional.
Video: clips, calls and loops
"Video" is the most stretched word in the category.
Video calls are voice calls with an animated face, offered by Replika (video conversations on the App Store listing) and Kindroid. The visual is a live avatar rather than generated footage.
Video responses and clips are short generated videos of the character. Candy AI offers "AI video responses"; OurDream includes video generation in its plan; Kupid offers text-to-video and image-to-video; GirlfriendGPT is reported at 5-second clips on Premium and 10 seconds on Deluxe (virtualaipartner, July 2026). Length is usually a few seconds to a few tens of seconds.
Lives are a separate format that some Bunny Tease models offer alongside clips; the model's book says whether she does.
What to expect:
- Generation time. Video takes far longer than a photo. On Bunny Tease a clip takes about a minute.
- Cost. Higher than photos. Candy is reported at around 12 tokens per video. OurDream's dreamcoin cost per video isn't published.
- Availability. Not every character on every platform has video. On Bunny Tease, some models offer short clips and lives; the model's book says which.
- Refunds. As with photos, a clip billed but not delivered returns its tokens on Bunny Tease.
Tokens: how media is paid for
Media costs compute, which is why almost no platform includes unlimited photos and video. Three models exist:
- Tokens per action. Candy, DreamGF and Bunny Tease. You buy a pack or receive a monthly allowance, and each photo, voice message or clip costs a set number. The good version tells you the cost before you confirm; the bad version debits silently.
- Monthly allowance within a flat plan. OurDream's 1,000 dreamcoins a month, Kindroid's selfie and audio credits. Simple until the allowance runs out.
- Unlimited on a top tier. Rare for media; more common for chat and voice minutes.
On Bunny Tease, the price of each action is displayed before you confirm it, and generations that fail to deliver are refunded in tokens. Plans (monthly, quarterly, annual) and token packs are on /pricing; we don't quote the figures in articles.
What to expect in practice
Set expectations before you pay for any media feature.
- Photos are good; video is early. Photo generation on a well-built platform is reliable and fast. Video is shorter, slower and more expensive everywhere, and quality varies by request.
- Consistency beats resolution. A photo that looks like her is worth more than a sharper photo of someone slightly different.
- Voice is either great or grating. Try a voice message on a free tier or guest trial before paying for minutes.
- Read the per-action price. If the pricing page doesn't say what a photo costs, assume the cost is higher than you'd like.
- Check delivery guarantees. If the platform doesn't say what happens when a generation fails, assume you pay anyway.
AI girlfriend apps with voice, photos and video: how Bunny Tease does it
Here is the full picture, with nothing promised that isn't live.
- Models. Twenty realistic, fictional female models at launch, each with a public book, a bio and photos. No anime, no real people.
- Messages, voice and photos on every model. A photo takes about 20 seconds.
- Clips and lives on some models. A clip takes about a minute. Check the model's book, for example Rosa Lombardi or Zoé Kaczmarek, to see what she offers.
- Pricing. Subscription plus tokens. The price of every action appears before you confirm it.
- Delivery guarantee. A generation that is billed but not delivered returns its tokens.
- Adult register. Reserved for verified adults after an independent age check. The guest trial stays non-explicit.
- Downloads. Files keep their AI marking.
- Not yet. Group chats don't exist. We don't promise features that aren't shipped.
You can try messages as a guest at /start without creating an account.
FAQ
Do AI girlfriend apps send real photos?
No. Every image is generated by a model from the character's fixed appearance. On legitimate platforms the characters are fictional and the files are marked as AI-generated. Bunny Tease keeps that marking on everything you download.
How long does it take to generate a photo or video?
Photos typically take ten seconds to a minute; on Bunny Tease, about 20 seconds. Video takes much longer: on Bunny Tease, about a minute for a clip. Times vary with load, and a platform should tell you what happens if a generation fails. Bunny Tease returns the tokens.
Are voice, photos and video included in the subscription?
Rarely all three. OurDream includes them within a monthly coin allowance. Most platforms, including Candy AI, DreamGF and Bunny Tease, use tokens on top of the subscription. The important thing is whether the per-action cost is shown before you confirm; on Bunny Tease it always is.
Can I use these features without verifying my age?
You can try messages on Bunny Tease as a guest, but the trial stays non-explicit and adult content in any format requires an independent age verification. Other platforms vary; several sources we read don't document any verification at all, which is worth asking about before you pay.
In short
Voice, photos and video are three different products with three different cost structures. Before you pay, find out whether voice is messages or calls, what a photo costs and how long it takes, how long a video really is, and what happens when a generation fails. The help center answers all four for Bunny Tease.
Bunny Tease is reserved for verified adults (18+).
